Time for Filing Nominations for GHMC Elections Begins

Hyderabad: The nomination phase of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections began on Monday 11am with the release of the notification.The Commissioner and GHMC election returning officer B. Janardhan Reddy said all arrangements have been made to receive nominations for the 150 wards in various segments in the city.

Reddy said the candidates filing nominations should open a bank account exclusively for election expenditure and account for each rupee they spend during the elections. A close surveillance on the election expenditure has been set up to watch the candidates' campaigning and expenditure, he said.
