Three Dead as Lorry Rams Into SUV Near Tirupati

Tirupati: Three people died and two passengers were critically injured when a lorry collided head-on with a Innova SUV at Gandhipuram in Tirupati rural in the early hours of Monday.

All the five occupants of the SUV were said to be returning from Krishna Pushkarams. The deceased have been identified as Nagaraju, Bharati and Krishna Murthy of Madanapalle. The injured have been shifted to local hospitals. The status of the lorry driver and cleaner was awaited when reports last came-in.

He expressed his condolences to the family of the bereaved in the road accident at Gandhipuram in Tirupati rural and in the bus accident near Suryapet. He also called on the authorities to provide appropriate medical treatment to those injured in the accidents.
