Hyderabad: A Twitter user assumed to be an Islamic State sympathizer threatened AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi against speaking ill of the terror group. The unidentified IS sympathizer warned that Owaisi would go to hell for opposing ISIS.

Reacting over the threats, Hyderabad MP and president of AIMIM Asaduddin Owaisi launched a swathing attack on his opponents through a series of tweets.

“Your Disgrace for Muslims of India. Opposing Islamic state will lead you to hell only repent before end”. two Tweets were posted from the Twitter handle @abotalout on the wall of Owaisi.

However Owaisi countered the threat and called him a ‘takfiri’ (one who is working against his own faith). “Sir you are a bloody Takfiri, if you want to debate on Evil ISIS I am ready you will not be able to counter my Theological Points”, Owaisi tweeted.
He further wrote “You can dream so keep dreaming Takfiri read book on ISIS will bring y out of Darkness of ISIS Allah give Taufeeq,”.

“Takfiri” is a Sunni Muslim who accuses another Muslim (or an adherent of another Abrahamic faith) of apostasy.

Speaking to the media, Owaisi said it is for the almighty to decide who should go to hell and who to heaven. They have no right to decide his final destination.

Owaisi said Muslim scholars had declared ISIS as “Khawrij” (rebels of Islam) and they had no right to speak about Islam.

However the MP refrained from filing a police complaint over the tweets and said they are purely ideological and he perceived no cautions or warnings in them.

The State Intelligence Department officials too confirmed they had not received any complaint from Owaisi. They further added that the tweet could be a reaction to Owaisi’s anti-ISIS stand.
