Taipei: At least 82,000 persons joined Asia's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) pride parade in Taiwan on Saturday to defend the right to freedom and the fight against discrimination.

Shang Wen Tsai, head of the Taiwan LGBT Family Rights Advocacy, said though there seemed to be an increasing external acceptance for the community, there was still a lot of discrimination that did not allow LGBT people to act freely.
