Jangaon: The differences between several ruling TRS MLAs and the respective district collectors are coming to the fore. The latest tiff to get reported is that of Jangaon District Collector A Sri Devasena and TRS MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy.

The Collector leveled serious allegations of land and waterbody grab against the MLA. Inspecting the Batukamma Kunta in the town, she said half-acre of the Shikham land (land adjacent to the water body) was encroached upon by the TRS MLA. Later, the land was registered in the name of the MLA. Devasena said that she got the registration cancelled after she assumed charge as the District Collector.

She also alleged that the beautification of the tank bund was taken up against the standing orders of the Supreme Court. "Water is being pumped into the tank externally. I don't know who is bearing the cost of it," she exclaimed.

She said that the TRS MLA had also claimed that he had spent Rs 30 lakhs for the beautification of the tank. However, no accounts of the expenditure were presented to the revenue department, she said.

It may be recalled that the TRS MLA was in the news for allegedly abusing the women staff in the revenue department. He got furious after the revenue officials refused to accept the proposal of converting six acres of Shikham land to construct a guest house and set up a Haritha Hotel.
