Thief excretes gold chain

Hyderabad: In an attempt to save himself from being arrested, a thief swallowed a gold chain that he stole from a woman in Chilkalguda of Hyderabad on Tuesday.

However, he was caught by the police when he was wandering under suspicious circumstances. The police then nabbed for interrogation, during which he swallowed the 4-tola gold chain. He was taken to a private hospital in Secunderabad in order to examine him medically via X-Ray.
While the police asked the doctors to retreat the chain by a surgery, the doctors did not agree to it saying it could be dangerous and that he would excrete it in a week’s time. Following which the police shifted him to Gandhi hospital in Secunderabad with the court’s permission.
The doctors in Gandhi hospital had to inject enema to the accused in order to make him excrete the gold chain.
