Unprecedented support, unbridled joy and unstoppable enthusiasm are is all- pervasive along the route that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is covering as part of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra. Physical disability or old age are no deterrents for people when it comes to joining YS Jagan's yatra.

Meet Obulayya and Lakshmamma, both senior citizens from Keerthireddypalle hamlet in Pachampalli panchayat of Rayachoti. These diehard fans of the YSR family, have trekked 12 km to reach Sangalapalli Crossing on Wednesday for a glimpse of YS Jagan. They finally managed to meet YS Jagan at Gangireddypalle. He spoke affectionately to them and enquired about their well-being. They told YS Jagan that they were yearning to see him as the chief minister of the state. "You should rule like your father did," they said.

For 72-year-old Adinarayana Reddy, walking with the YSR family is something of a tradition he values deeply. He first walked with YSR 35 years ago, when the late leader organised Rayalaseema Water Stir and walked from Lepakshi to Pothireddypadu. Reddy was also part of YSR's historic Praja Prasthanam. Later, he was with YS Sharmila, when she covered 3200 km as part of her padayatra. Now, he is part of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra. "I do not expect anything in return. I am walking with YS Jagan out of my devotion for the YSR family," he says.

Basina Raghavendra of Amalapuram is born blind. But, visual impairment did not prevent him from joining the Praja Sankalpa Yatra. His friend Mohan Rao is accompanying him during the yatra. Raghavendra is an engineer by academic qualification, while Mohan Rao is an automobile mechanic. Their meagre financial resources and physical impairment are proving no hindrance in walking alongside YS Jagan.

There are countless such stories of people who are voluntarily joining YS Jagan's yatra, as the crowds continue to swell with every passing day.
