Sujana Tulasi has been stranded in Kuwait from past six months

Hyderabad: After rescuing a stranded Indian women Shabina Banu, another incident of an Indian women getting stuck in Kuwait came to light.

Sujana Tulasi, a native of West Godavari district has been stranded in Kuwait from past six months. The 35-year-old also needs to pay a fine of 800 Dirham, in a case filed by her employer.

Her husband left her with two children 12-year-old Jaswanthi and 11-year old Janvhi

Tulasi worked as a maid at her employer's house. But as the employer tortured her she fled the place. The employer then filed a case for leaving his against the agreement and he also charged her with a theft.

"After escaping from her employer's house she started tailoring to earn a living but in October she met with a road accident and is bed ridden. We are trying to collect funds for her as she has two cases booked by her employer. Due to this she had to pay a fine of 800 Dirhams,” said Sheikh Basha, a social worker of Kuwait Andhra, an NGO from Kuwait.

Basha further added that Farwaniya Hospital where she is undergoing treatment will soon discharge her but if there is no house for her then they will have to send her to the police station as it may take years for deportation.

He said that if she gets a help from government then she can a have a residence and can return to India where she can get treatment for further treatment.

"The Indian Embassy should help her to come back. They can allot some money from the Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF). The government of AP should also provide medical aid and help her from the CM's Relief Fund," said M. Bheem Reddy, Migrants Rights Council vice president.

Tulasi has been living in Kuwait since three years and wants to return to India soon. Her husband left her with two children 12-year-old Jaswanthi and 11-year old Janvhi.

It may be recalled that recently Shabina was deported from the King Khalid International Airport Riyadh to Puttur via Bengaluru.

Shabina came to Dubai through a Travel Agency Al-Hasan Enterprises. She was promised a job of a child caretaker, but later she was moved to Riyadh and worked as a maid. She was forced to work at two houses and was physically tortured.
