HYDERABAD: A 21-year-old man killed a minor girl for allegedly rejecting his marriage proposal. The incident happened in Warasiguda which falls under Chilkalguda police jurisdiction. The accused Shoeb was arrested from his residence.

According to police, Shoeb, who is a flexi-board designer was in a relationship with the 17-year-old girl. Both of them studied in the same school and were studying intermediate and he was two years senior to her.

He even met his parents asking for permission to marry her. However, they rejected him and warned him against harassing her. However, that didn't deter him and he continued.

On Friday midnight, he came to meet the victim and they met on the terrace of her house. A heated argument ensued after she rejected his proposal. Police said that Shoeb even suspected that the girl was in a relationship with another man and hatched the plan to kill her.

After she declined his proposal, in a fit of rage, he stabbed her with a sharp-edged stone and then threw her from the terrace building.

Her family found her body on Saturday morning in a pool of blood with injuries in head and neck and called police.

The family members suspected Shoeb's role and when police analysed CCTV footage, they saw him entering and exiting the house. Police even found his blood-stained shoe in the stairs and later confirmed that he had committed the crime.
