HYD Teacher Gets Lifer For Setting Woman Colleague On Fire

Hyderabad: A local court convicted a private school teacher in Hyderabad for killing a woman colleague by setting her ablaze in March 2015 and sentenced him to life imprisonment on Tuesday, November 26.

The City Court has also imposed a fine of Rs 2000 to him, said Rachakonda Police.

According to the reports, the convict Shiva Prasad had frequent quarrels with 32-year-old woman teacher who is his colleague over certain financial transactions between them and also running of the school.

Shiva Prasad went to her house and they developed an argument with each other On March 24, 2015 . After the victim went into the kitchen, Shiva Prasad locked the front door and doused her with kerosene and set her ablaze.

The neighbours who heard her screams rushed to the house and opened the door, they found the lady dead and Shiva Prasad was standing near the body.

Woman's husband filed a case. Police registered the case and arrested Shiva Prasad.
