Jaya Prakash Narayan Over TSRTC Strike

Hyderabad: Loksatta chief, ex-IAS officer, and former MLA Jaya Prakash Narayan, expressed his agreement with Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's decision of not merging the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) with the government.

He opined that it was a meaningless demand from the RTC employees.
RTC JAC employees’ unions decided for a state-wide bandh on October 19.

All the Opposition parties in Telangana have raised their voice against CM KCR's decision on TSRTC strike and extended their support to all the RTC employees.

Recently Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan extended his support to Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) strike and expressed anger over Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's decision to sack 48,000 agitating employees.

On the other hand, Jaya Prakash Narayan suggested for the RTC employees to work for the public, instead of continuing the strike it will be more meaningful if they chose to protest with black badges.

He further added that the TSRTC merger with the state government is a regressive act, which cannot be supported.

Jaya Prakash Narayan suggested the CM KCR led the TRS government to look into the other possible demands of RTC employees other than RTC merger with the government.
