Traffic Diversion on Ganesh Immersion

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police has reshuffled traffic at several places for September 12 and 13 (Thursday and Friday) in view of the Ganesh immersion procession.

The police department has deployed over 5,500 policemen to avoid any kind of unlawful activities or anti-social activities. A total of 2,369 big-sized idols are expected to be immersed on Thursday which is the last day of Ganesh Mahostavam.

According to a press release issued by the police, vehicles going from Hi-Tech City and Madhapur towards Kukatpally Y Junction via Kaithalapur will have to go towards Kukatpally Y Junction and Balanagar via Rainbow Vista-Moosapet Road. Police have advised all the drivers from Kukatpally to Madhapur and Hi-Tech City to opt for the JNTU-Forum Mall Road. Police have closed the route from IDL tank to Rainbow vista tea junction so that common people can see Ganesh immersion. They have even closed IDL tank entrance to Rainbow vista T Junction road. Pragathinagar-JNTU road will stay closed on Thursday from Pragathi Nagar Kaman to Srinivasa Steels, Adithya Nagar X Roads and the traffic is being diverted to Bachupally X Roads and Nizampet Kolanu Raghava Reddy Gardens.

Police further imposed diversion on all the heavy vehicles coming from Sangareedy, Patancheru and BHEL to Kukatpally. They are adviced to take a U-turn and proceed towards Lingampally, HCU, Gachibowli, and Miyapur. Vehicles going to Ameerpet has to take a diversion at Miyapur X Roads and proceed towards Bachupally, Dindugal roads. Police strictly instruct the vehicles carrying Ganesh Idols for Immersion should not enter into Fatehnagar, CyberTowers, Forum, and Gachibowli flyovers.
