Langar Houz, Hyderabad: Two degree students who nursed vengeance against traffic police after being flagged for drunk driving resorted to stealing 3 bikes of traffic policemen. Langar Houz police subsequently arrested the duo following a traffic violation of jumping a red light and subsequent inquiry. The miscreants, Mohammed Jahangir (20) of Sardarbagh in Langar Houz area worked as a car mechanic while studying at the same time. While he was travelling on Activa, he was flagged near Bapu Ghat in Toli Chowki in February last year. The cops registered a case against Jahangir, seized his bike and kept it in the parking lot next to Sangam temple. Jahangir who nurtured a feeling of vengeance towards the police told Bhaskar about this and was decided to his two-wheeler back.

Two days later, Bhaskar and Jahangir, during a recce of the place, saw that not only was there round the clock security at the parking lot, but that the police had set up barricades in front of the vehicles. As per a well-prepared plan, the duo broke into the lot in the early hours of the morning. They stole a bike and took it to the other side of Musi.

Two days later the duo stole a Pulsar bike using the same modus operandi. When police found out that a Pulsar bike which had previously been stolen and kept in their parking lot went missing, they were aghast.

Jahangir and Bhasker indulged in similar thefts of bikes, including two Royal Enfield bikes . However, some days ago the two of them came under the scanner for jumping a red light at Masab Tank signal. CCTV surveillance footage revealed that the two went up to Mallepally. A police team tracked down the duo and seized five stolen bikes from them.
