Hyd Police’s Green Channel Helps Live Heart Travel 6 KM In Ten Minutes
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic police created a green channel for the transportation of a live heart here on Friday.
The organ was carried from Care Hospitals, Banjara Hills to Care Hospitals, Nampally within 10 minutes.
Saritha, 40-year-old woman residing in Gandhinagar was reportedly admitted to Care Hospital, Banjara Hills with an intracranial bleed, and despite all the efforts put in by the multispeciality doctors, she slipped into a coma and was declared brain dead. The woman’s family members came forward to donate her organs. The same was information was passed on to Jeevandhan.
The organs of Woman were harvested at Care Hospital, Banjara Hills and was transported for transplantation to a heart patient at Care Hospitals, Nampally through the green channel.
