Bellampalli (Adilabad): Daravath Kalavathi, upset with allegations of indulging in sorcery, allegedly committed suicide by taking pesticide in Pedda Lambadi Tanda of Bellmapalli Mandal. Darawat Rajkumar, his mother Tulsi and sister Kalawati of the same village have been facing allegations of casting spells on Kiran son of Darawat Chattrunayak and Venkubai.

The victims lodged a complaint about them in the local police station three days go. Thereafter, Chattrunayak, Venkubai and Kiran with the help of their family members, attacked Kalavathi family. SI Mogili sent for both families and counselled them. They promised to call off the issue in the presence of local panchayat leaders, but later Chattrunayak again attacked Kalavathi's family. Upset these incidents Kalavathi attempted suicide, following which family members shifted her immediately to the local Govt. hospital in 108 ambulance. Doctors declared her brought dead. Police filed a case in the matter and and started an investigation.
