Massive Fire In Mahabubabad Cold Storage Unit

Mahabubabad Rural: A major fire broke out in a Kanakadurga Cold Storage unit under Gandhipuram circle in Mahabubabad District. resulting in 70,000 bags of Mirchi and Pulses getting burnt. This incident reportedly cost a loss of Rs. 30 crore.

Fires and smoke from cold storage spread out through the windows. The Firefighters had to drill holes in the walls of the cold storage to prevent the fire from spreading.

Farmers risked their lives in transferring their crop bags to other cold storage units. On learning about this incident, Manukota and Dornakal MLAs Banoth Shankar Naik and Redya Naik rushed to the spot.
