Hyderabad:12-Year-Old Thrashed By Principal For Not Doing Homework

Hyderabad: A 12-year-old boy was thrashed at his school at Chandanagar, by his principal for not finishing his day’s homework.

The boy’s mother Padma came out to the principal and questioned him about his actions. The Principal P Praveen agreed to beating the child, but says the whole thing has been blown out of proportion. The mother accused the principal of inflicting marks of injury all over the body of her son, this was denied by the principal.

The parents of the child has taken him out of the school and put him in another school. Praveen has agreed to pay for the child's academic fees and he has also reimbursed the fees that was paid at the school.

According to Praveen, the boy is a very clever boy who has been deviating from his studies that he usually is good at. “His mother is a rag picker and struggles to make ends meet. When I saw him go away from him studies out of the blue, I had to get in there and correct him immediately. That lead me to beat him,” he said.
