Sivaji Caught At RGIA Trying To Flee Country

Hyderabad: Actor Sivaji who is one of the main accused in the TV9 fraud case was caught by the Cyber Crime Police at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad , Hyderabad, on Wednesday morning. It is reported that he was caught by the sleuths on while he was trying to flee the country and taken to the Cyberabad Cyber Crime Police Station.He was told to come for questioning on July 11 at the Cyber Crime Police Station.

It is reported that the police were keeping track of his movements and based on sources from the Immigration department, he was caught while trying to board a plane to another country.

Sivaji, who is one of the main accused in the TV 9 Fraud Case along with ex-CEO V Ravi Prakash has been in hiding for the past two months. Ever since the new management Alanda Media took over and filed a case against former CEO Ravi Prakash for his alleged role in the committing irregularities in TV 9, both Ravi Prakash and Sivaji were evading police questioning even when notices were issued to them. Ravi Prakash finally yielded and came out of hiding, whereas Sivaji was still in hiding since then.Excepting for releasing one video while in hiding, where he claimed innocence in the whole case, Sivaji had also tried to approach the court seeking to dismiss the case filed by the cyber crime police.

Cyberabad police said that they caught Sivaji who was trying to flee the country, but they would not arrest him. They have issued notices under Section 41 of the CRPC notices as per court orders. Sivaji was asked to cooperate with the investigation procedures and appear before the Cyber Crime Police for questioning on July 11 .

The Telangana High Court had earlier extended relief to the actor Sivaji till July 9 and directed the police not to take any harsh measures against him in the case related to the TV9 shares transfer controversy.

Justice G Sri Devi of the Telangana HC extended his protection while hearing the petition filed by the actor to quash an FIR, which was lodged against him by Telangana Cyber Crime police.

Sivaji along with former TV9 CEO Ravi Prakash are accused by the Alanda Media Entertainment Group ( which took over TV9), of forging and fabricating documents pertaining to the company.

The police particularly established the role of Sivaji by tracing the emails exchanged between him and Ravi Prakash. As a result, he is also charged with several penal sections.
