Hyderabad: Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers K Chandrasekhar Rao and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy have directed that the issues related to the state bifurcation should be discussed and resolved at the earliest. Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajender and AP Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy stated that the two states' general secretaries, advisers, and other officials will hold talks on Friday and Saturday in this regard. KCR and YS Jagan have ordered the two states' Chief Secretaries to study the economic disputes between the two states in this session.
The officials have been instructed to submit proposals on the full utilization of Godavari river water by July 15.

Telangana and AP CMs KCR and YS Jagan met at Pragati Bhavan on Friday to discuss the issues of state bifurcation. The matters discussed in the meeting were revealed at a joint press conference of two state ministers, Etela Rajender and Buggana Rajendranath Reddy. Telangana and AP agriculture sector have set an example for the other states in the country, pioneering a strong foundation to eradicate water and electricity problems. The ministers hoped to continue the tradition.

Etela Rajender stated that both the Chief Ministers are of the view that the two states should aim at solving problems and the welfare of the people. The CMs wants to convey to the country that the two states are co-ordinated and going to great heights. The meeting was followed by a long discussion on mainly irrigation issues.
As the leader of the movement, KCR looked at how people have long sought water, bore bores, dug wells and struggled for the power. Therefore, he asked the Engineers of both the states to study the issues of drinking water, irrigated or affected areas in AP and Telangana such as Coastal Andhra, Rayalaseema, Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy and Nalgonda districts and submit a report. KCR explained to AP CM YS Jagan the steps taken to tackle the problem of irrigating and drinking water in Telangana. Etela Rajender reminded that the water agreement with Maharashtra was made in the past and also with Karnataka with an intention to maintain a relationship with the neighbors.

AP Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy described the day when the two states' CMs met. The AP, Telangana CMs, Ministers, CSs and Advisors have met with the two states to coordinate the use of river water. Boggana recalled that AP CM Jagan had traveled extensively in the last five years as the Leader of Opposition and four years as a prominent Opposition Leader. He said, "They are well aware of where there is trouble with irrigation and drinking water. That is why the two states met at the meeting to see where the waters of the river Godavari and other rivers are needed. The Chief Ministers of the two states are thought of as statesmen rather than leaders. 'We need to get to each other. We can sit down and talk, is what both the CMs said. They have inspired the authorities that the people of AP and Telangana are all united."
