Gadwal: Student Locked Inside School For Hours, Staff Issued Memos For Negligence

Jogulamba Gadwal: A Class I student was locked inside the school for hours. The incident took place in a government primary school in Koneru village of Alampur Mandal in Gadwal district on Thursday.

As per the details, the student, identified as Swapna was locked inside the building after school hours and the staff of the school failed to do the necessary checks whether all the students had left the school premises.

A villager, hearing the wails of the child immediately called the headmaster of the school. The main door was unlocked and the child was found crying out of fear. With the higher officials brought to the notice regarding the issue, the Mandal Education Officer (MEO) issued memos to the staff on Friday for their negligence towards the school children. The memos were issued to three teachers and an attendee working in the school and the MEO further issued a warning that such acts in the future won't be tolerated.
