Hyderabad: The Telangana high court on Tuesday sought from Prajwala Rescue Home, an NGO working for the welfare of women and girl children, to furnish a report by July 9 on the 26 girls who were rescued from Yadadri child trafficking dens.
A bench of Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice Shameem Akther who are looking after the case said it wants to know about the living conditions of the girls.
The girls were rescued from trafficking in July 2018 and were kept in Prajwala Home near Shamshabad.
State's special counsel said they are also monitoring the condition of the girls and said that they are unable to send the girls to schools due to safety concerns. Prajwala is providing them basic education in the NGO itself.
