Telangana EAMCET Web Option Entry Process Deferred

Hyderabad: Due to the confusion surrounding fee structure in engineering colleges, the Telangana Eamcet counselling scheduled has been altered. The option to give web options from Thursday until July 4 has been post poned. Students can now give their web options from July 1 to July 4.

However, the documentation verification slated to begin from tomorrow will be held as planned. The documentation verification will go on until July 3 as per the slots booked by students. So far 45,156 students have booked their slots for document verification.

The delay is due to State government not appointing the AFRC chairman so far, which resulted in no decision being taken on the fee structure. But many private engineering colleges have already moved the High Court to let them hike the tuition fee drastically. Against this backdrop, the Telangana government wants to file an appeal in the court.

Only after students have enough information regarding fee structure and the courses offered, they can use the web option facility. So, the period to give web options has been post poned.
