Bifurcation Disputes, Water Issues On Agenda For YS Jagan-KCR Meet On June 28,29

Hyderabad: The chief ministers of the two Telugu states, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and K Chandrasekhar Rao will meet again to resolve the disputes between AP and Telangana. Five years after the bifurcation of the state, the two chief ministers have already met three times to discuss the issues that have to be resolved between the two states. The meeting will be held on the 28th and 29th of this month. In addition to the Krishna and Godavari rivers, the division of power employees, distribution of power company assets and debt, power bills due to the mutual payments of the two state power companies and the division of the civil supplies department will be discussed in the meeting.

Both sides have a positive attitude towards the resolution of these issues and there is a possibility that they have a common view on many issues. Authorities expect the meeting to take a number of key decisions as the two CMs are planning to take initiatives to resolve the dispute as part of establishing good relations between the two states. Based on the outcome of the meeting, Telangana and AP state general secretaries SK Joshi and LV Subramaniam will meet in Raj Bhavan in the presence of Governor ESL Narasimhan for a final decision on July 3rd.
