Hyderabad: Raga Madhuri, a popular Telugu TV actress who worked in a daily soap called ‘’Jyothi’’, was assaulted by a hair stylist named Jyothika and her associates on the sets of a show that she was shooting for in Hyderabad.

It is said that Jyothika and a group of eight members known to her came on the sets of her show and assaulted Raga Madhuri on Monday morning. It is reported that they created havoc on the sets , beat Raga Madhuri and also pulled her sari during the attack. She rushed to the Banjara Hills police station and registered a case against Jyothika and her gang.

It is said that Jyothika was nursing a grouse against Raga Madhuri who had earlier filed a case against her and a few others over her missing gold chain. The actress, who was shooting in Road No 13 ,Banjara Hills near YSRCP leader Lakshmi Parvathi's house on Sunday, realised that her gold chain (mangalsutra) was missing. After checking with her crew, she filed a case with Banjara Hills and where she also mentioned that she doubted Jyothika . When the Police questioned Jyothika, her associates came forward and said that they found the chain in a car that Raga Madhuri had travelled and submitted the same at the Banjara Hills police station. Angry at being pointed out that she had stolen her chain, Jyothika along with her associates attacked Raga Madhuri out of revenge.
