Dusshera Holidays Extended For Telangana Schools

Hyderabad: Schools across Telangana re-opened on Wednesday after a long extended summer holiday and this year Dusshera holidays will be from September 29 to October 13, three more days from last year.

According to the new academic calendar of 2019-20, the education department said that Dusshera holidays will be for 16 days.

Other rules say that the Class 10 syllabus must be finished by January 10, 2020 and that of Class 11 must be completed by February 29, 2020.

For high schools, the school will begin from 9.30 am and end at 4.45 pm. In Hyderabad and Secunderabad, schools must start from 8.45 am till 4 pm.

The school management have also been advised to maintain fitness certificates of school buses before starting to ply.
