Silver Worth Rs 40 crore Seized In Bowenpally

Hyderabad: 10 tonnes of Silver was seized by the police in Bowenpally, Secunderabad on Monday. Busting illegal transportation of Silver in Hyderabad, the North Zone Bowenpally police intercepted a container and conducted a search, discovering about 10 tonnes of Silver in the vehicle.

According to the details, the container was traveling from Chennai to Hyderabad when the police intercepted it. The cost of the seized silver is estimated to be around Rs 40 crore.

Based on suspicion, the police checked the vehicle and found more than 9,000 silver bars. With no relevant documents in relation with the Silver, the police officials have taken the driver and the vehicle into custody. Further investigation is underway.
