Record Placements In Hyderabad University

Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) created a record for itself placing 324 students for the academic year 2018-19, the highest in the last five years. The highest salary package is Rs 12 lakh this year.

A press release by the university states that 135 companies visited the varsity between July 2018 and June 2019. The median salary for the academic year is Rs 6 lakh for 2018-19 compared to Rs 5 lakh for 2017-18.

Of the 324 students who secured campus placements, 92 were from management stream, 76 from computer science (MCA abd Mtech) 62 from physical science and life sciences, 37 from humanities and communication, 30 from MPH and optometry, 14 from social sciences and 13 from economics.

While the average salary for computer science students was Rs 6.50 lakh, it was Rs 5.50 lakh for management students. Others too bagged average salaries between Rs 3.50 lakh and Rs 5.50 lakh.
