Hyderabad: TRS MLA Injured In Elevator Collapse

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MLA Mynampally Hanmanth Rao of TRS on Wednesday had a narrow escape after the elevator in which he was travelling in collapsed.

The accident took place at Hotel Sri Sai Krupa in Chikkadpally around 1.10 pm when the TRS MLA was in the lift. The MLA, according to the police, was leaving the hotel after attending a function when the mishap took place.

As per the details, the elevator in the hotel suddenly collapsed from first floor to ground floor. The police informed that 11 people got into the elevator on the first floor even though the capacity of the lift was only five persons. Due to the overload, the elavator detached, collapsing to the ground floor.

Hanmanth Rao sustained minor injuries on his leg and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was administered first aid.
