Hyderabad: Bike Catches Fire, Motorist Escapes Unhurt

Hyderabad: A motorbike caught fire while on the move at Saifabad on Saturday afternoon. The motorist had a lucky escape after the locals noticed the flames emanating from the vehicle and alerted him following which he immediately jumped off the bike.

Going into details, the motorist, Saleemuddin was heading to Mehdipatnam around 3 pm on his vehicle, a Royal Enfield along with his friend. When he halted at Saifabad main road, flames engulfed the bike. The locals came to his rescue after noticing the flames and he immediately got down the bike. Subsequently, the flames spread rapidly.

The traffic police and the locals nearby doused the fire and shifted the vehicle to the roadside. As per the reports, the vehicle is learned to be partially damaged. The police suspect that the overheating of the wiring might have caused the fire.
