Man Posts Objectionable Content Against KCR On Facebook; Arrested

Hyderabad: Cyber Crime officials have arrested a man on Tuesday for allegedly posting obscene and objectionable content against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and his daughter, Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Facebook.

The man, identified as Chirpa Naresh, a resident of Nawabpet Mandal in Mahbubnagar is a private employee. According to the complaint filed by TRS leader G Srinivas Yadav, the accused had been posting morphed pictures of KCR's family on Facebook. Based on the complaint, the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police registered a case under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act of 2000 (for promoting enmity between different groups) and Section 469 (forgery for purpose of harming the reputation) and Section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.

They identified two Facebook accounts sharing such posts on KCR and his family. The morphed photographs of the Chief Minister were found to have been uploaded from the Facebook account of Sri Krishna and the police discovered that a young man from Nirmal was sharing posts using a fake name from Gulf. Another user, Naresh from Mahabubnagar district was posting objectionable content against TRS MP Kavitha. The police gathered the technical data as the evidence and tracked the accused, who was brought to the police custody in Hyderabad.
