Sizzling Summer: Temperature Soars Above 45 Degrees In Telangana

Hyderabad: Heatwave conditions continue to linger in the state with most regions recording maximum temperatures between 40 to 45 degree Celsius.

As per the weather data recorded by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the highest temperature has peaked to 45.2 degree Celsius at Makloor in Nizamabad on Monday. The highest temperature recorded in the Greater Hyderabad limits was 42.5oC at Quthbullapur.

In Adilabad, the mercury hovered around the 45-degree mark and recorded its maximum temperature at 45.3 degree Celsius on Sunday, which is the highest temperature for this year. The citizens are forced to stay indoors during the day due to the heatwave conditions. The death toll from March has reached 22 in the state.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light to moderate rains is expected at isolated places across Telangana providing some relief following the severe heatwave conditions over the last four days.

However, the overall temperatures are not likely to change as TSDPS mentioned that they are expected to be Two to Three degrees above normal at many places during the next three days. The maximum temperatures at Hyderabad are expected to be between 39-41 degree Celsius and minimum to be between 28-30 degree Celsius.
