Meanwhile, the time for revaluation and recounting of the examination papers has been extended. However, the students have not gained any benefit from it as the website for the Inter Board is not working. In the wake of the discrepancies that surfaced in the Intermediate results, SFI activists gathered at Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's residence Pragathi Bhavan and attempted to invade the place. The police arrested and arrested the SFI student body leaders who had entered Pragathi Bhavan. The student leaders stated thousands of students suffered due to the Inter Board's negligence.

Upset over failing the examinations, students are resorting to suicide. So far, at least 18 students have committed suicide. Now, another student has committed suicide on Tuesday by setting herself ablaze at her residence in Shabad Mandal of Ranga Reddy district.

The student, Jyothi who was pursuing Intermediate second year took the extreme step after learning that she failed in her Civics examination. While her family rushed her to Osmania Hospital for treatment but she succumbed to her injuries on the way. A student from Warangal district, Naveen also committed suicide on Tuesday. Depressed after learning that he failed in all the subjects, Naveen jumped in front of a train and committed suicide.

Despite all such incidents taking place in the state, the Inter Board is yet to take any steps to correct the mistakes. Even though the students, their parents, student unions, leaders of political parties and social workers have launched an agitation in front of the office, the Inter Board officials are yet to provide assurance. Instead, the protestors are being resorted to police violence.

TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar stated that the TRS government's failure has cost the lives of 18 students. He added that they will be launching a Dharna in front of the district collectorate on Thursday at 11 am in the presence of the DCC officials.

The TPCC Chief further demanded the Education Minister be terminated from his post and also the examination papers be re-evaluation free of charge.
