Mobile Phone Battery Explodes In Ramagundam, Two Children Injured

Ramagundam: Two children were seriously wounded following a mobile battery explosion. The incident occurred at Godavarikani on Thursday.

The two children, identified as Venu, a Class VII student and Akhil, a Class IV student resided at Vittal Nagar. The kids came across a mobile phone battery and an electronic device at a nearby dumping yard. They connected the battery to the device resulting in the explosion.

Hearing the sound of the blast, the family members rushed outside to find the kids grievously injured. Akhil sustained an injury in his left eye while Venu suffered severe injuries to both his hands.

The family members immediately rushed them to a government hospital in Godavarikani and later shifted them to Karimnagar government hospital for better treatment.
