Third Notice Sent: SIT Gearing Up To Arrest IT Grids D Ashok

Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing the data theft case has picked up pace in its investigation. It has sent a third notice to IT Grids India Private Limited CEO, Dakavaram Ashok, who is absconding in the case.

Police are making all arrangements for his arrest and will issue notices under Section 41 CrPC.

The SIT had earlier issued a notice to Ashok asking him to appear before it at the office in Goshamahal on March 13 at 11 am in connection with the case. A notice was also affixed to Ashok's house at Vidhura Vihar in Kukatpally Housing Board Colony on March 11.

According to SIT member and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Madhapur) N Shyam Prasad Rao, notices were sent to Ashok on March 2 and 3 in spite of which he failed to appear before the investigating officer (IO). The SIT officials are in the process of submitting the details of the case to the court on March 20. As per rules, if Ashok fails to respond to the thrid notice, the police officials will necessitate legal action and issue a warrant for his arrest.

It reportedly came to be known that Ashok, who fled after the data theft case first reached Vijayawada. He later went to Guntur where he is reported to have made phone calls to a few officials and senior politicians in Andhra Pradesh.
