Hyderabad: It comes as a no surprise for people living in India, particularly Hyderabadis that biryani is one of the top favourite dishes preferred.

A mixed rice dish prepared by cooking basmati rice with any meat marinated in curd and a number of aromatic spices, Biryani is one dish which is popular across India and among the Indian citizens around the world. Some of the variety of biryanis favoured across the country include Kolkata biryani, Hyderabadi biryani, Lucknowi biryani, Tehri biryani, Malabar biryani.

With a regional flavour, Hyderabad biryani is popular throughout the country. Usually served with meat such as chicken, mutton or fish, the dish is a definite choice among the public.

Proving this aspect, a restaurant in Hyderabad recently secured a mention in the Limca Book of Records. The feat was achieved for serving 70,44,289 biryanis in a year. The restaurant to bag this commendable feat is Paradise Food Court in the city.

Sharing this news on Twitter, the restaurant said that they earned the feat for "Most Biryani Servings Sold in a Year" for serving biryanis between January 2017 and December 2017.

At the Asia Food Congress, held in Mumbai recently, the Paradise Food Court was honoured for this achievement with the Chairman also receiving the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' at the same event.

Besides Hyderabad, Paradise has multiple outlets in Bangalore, Chennai, and Vishakhapatnam.

The restaurant also serves a wide range of soups, starters, kebabs and offer food of Chinese cuisine apart from the variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian biryanis.
