Hyderabad: The new MLA quarters complex at Hyderguda is all set to be inaugurated soon.

Announcing the same, Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will inaugurate the 120 flats complex of New MLA quarters.

Speaking to the media after inspecting the progress of works on Tuesday, Srinivas Reddy said that the construction works are wrapped up and the inauguration will take place in accordance with the Chief Minister’s schedule.

The new MLA quarters is spread over 4.5 acres in the heart of the city with 120 flats at a cost of Rs 166 crore. Each quarter includes a three-bedroom flat with a built-up area of 2,100 square feet. Apart from the 12-storied residential complex, the gated community comprises of nearly 120 servant quarters, 36 staff quarters, 23 rooms for visitors, an office, a clubhouse, a supermarket and a three-storied cellar parking which will accommodate around 240 vehicles.

The Speaker said that the New MLA quarters complex with all modern facilities will be allotted to both existing MLAs and MLCs accordingly by a Committee comprising legislators from all political parties and chaired by him.

He also advised the former legislators to vacate their quarters immediately so that the accommodations be given to those who were elected in the recent Assembly elections as per norms.
