Miryalguda: Amrutha, the bereaved wife of Dalit youth Pranay who was killed in a gruesome attack by hired killers here last week, has been subjected to vicious trolling on social media, she said. The reason for this is the ex-gratia amount announced by the government of Telangana along with the two bedroom house promised to her. State government minister Jagdish Reddy had handed over the cheque on behalf of the government and promised five acres of land as well.

For this Amrutha was subject to a nasty troll attack on social media, she said. She was being abused viciously and was asked how she deserved this amount, she observed. Amrutha clarified that she had not sought anything and that it was the government of Telangana which came forward on its own after the ghastly killing of Pranay in the heart of Miryalguda last Friday.

It may be recalled that Amrutha’s father, Maruthi Rao hired contract killers through a terror suspect Mohammed Abdul Bari based in Hyderabad to carry out the killing of Pranay. The father was angered by his daughter marrying a Dalit youth, he told the police. He said that his honour was more important to him than that of his daughter. Subsequently, Maruthi Rao, his brother Shravan, Bari, another gangster Asghar Ali, who hired the actual killer, Subhas Sharma and others, were arrested.
