Miryalguda Horror Repeats In Erragadda: Newlyweds Attacked By Father

Erragadda, Hyderabad: In a shockingly similar repeat of the Miryalguda incident, a couple, Sandeep and Madhavi, walking down the road in Erragadda were brutally attacked by the girl's father here this afternoon. The reason for this murderous attack is said to be an inter-caste marriage. Sandeep is an SC, while the girl, Madhavi, belongs to another caste.

S.R. Nagar Police are investigating the case.

CCTV footage of the incident reveals Madhavi's father attacking Sandeep first with a scythe used by coconut-sellers, striking twice. When Madhavi tried to stop him from attacking her husband, her father turned on her and struck her. After she fell down, he hit her with the weapon again, the footage reveals.

It is learnt that Sandeep a resident of Erragadda and Madhavi from Borabanda got married according to Arya Samaj rites four days ago. Madhavi and Sandeep are stated to be in a critical condition.

Satish, Sandeep's younger brother, told Sakshi TV that the condition of both is very grave and both were shifted to a private hospital nearby.
