Member of Parliament from Hyderabad and AIMIM president, Asaduddin owaisi met the Hyderabad commissioner of police Anjani Kumar along with members of the Azaan International School rape victim, demanding justice and seeking punishment against the perpetrators of the heinous crime.

The Hyderabad MP met the City commissioner along with the victim's father and two paternal uncles and sought a thorough investigation. The MIM leader said that it would be better if the investigation were to be handed over to the Central Crime Station (CCS), a suggestion to which the commissioner agreed. Owaisi also demanded that the CCTV surveillance footage br seized and preserved to ensure justice to the victim and punishment to the accused.

Anjani kumar pointed out that the accused Jeelani had already been arrested by the city police. The MIM leader said that a case should also be lodged against the school management and pointed out that the district school administration in its report had faulted the school. It had said that the school was clearly negligent in its approach, the MP said.

Owaisi also met the district collector of Hyderabad, Raghunandan, along with members of the victim's family. The official was apprised of the incident and was asked to take strict action against the school. The Hyderabad MP pointed out that the school had first denied that any such incident had taken place and was forced to cooperate in the place of public pressure and mob fury.

The MP demanded closure of the school in question. Karwan MLA Kouser Mohiuddin of MIM told media men that all the officials whom the AIMIM president met with promised to act speedily in the matter and expedite the process of investigation.
