A Song For Pranay, Sacrificed At The Altar Of Love
A song from upcoming Telugu film Veera Bhoga Vasantharayalu, to be released on September 21 will be dedicated to all those who sacrificed their lives at the altar of love and to Pranay in particular.
It may be recalled that a Dalit youth Pranay was mercilessly hacked to death by a contract killer when he was walking out of a hospital with his pregnant wife, Amrutha in Miryalguda on Friday afternoon.
There is no section of society which has been left unmoved by this shocking murder which was executed on account of bitter caste prejudice. It is a widely known fact that Amrutha's father Maruthi Rao and her uncle Shravan plotted Pranay's cold blooded murder over many months.
The grisly murder has pricked the collective consicence of society and has brought the caste debate to the fore.
Meanwhile, Amrutha has started a facebook page devoted to fighting casteism and pulling down the barriers which divides society. The page has already garnered nearly 70,000 likes at the time of writing this story.
