Hyderabad: TDP expelled leader and former minister Mothkupalli Narasimhulu asserted Andhra Pradesh would get Special Category Status (SCS) only if state Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was defeated. Speaking to media here today, he said that he prayed to God for Chandrababu's defeat and walked the seven hills praying for AP CM's defeat.

The former minister alleged that Chandrababu's life was full of cheating and misleading people. He questioned if SCS to AP was raised during the no-trust vote debate in Parliament. He accused the AP CM of grabbing the TDP from the hands of late NTR.

Mothkupalli reminded the press persons that Chandrababu had accepted Special package to AP and this was told in assembly as well. He said the AP CM had pledged the self-respect of Andhra people in New Delhi. Chandrababu not only stabbed NTR in the back, but also people of Andhra, he pointed out. YSR Congress Party President and Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had raised the topic of SCS to AP in state legislative assembly. He clarified that Chandrababu was the person who blocked SCS.

The expelled TDP leader said that Chandrababu made 29 trips to Delhi to cover up his misdeeds and corruption. It was time people revolted against the TDP chief. He said the AP CM was making political moves not for the state but for himself and his family. He insulted the Dalit community by questioning "would anybody like to be be born into a Dalit family?"

Chandrababu thanked the central government for awarding Special Package to the state and had changed his stance now by demanding SCS, he added.
