Linking Of Irrigation Tanks Will Put Water To Proper Use: KCR

Hyderabad: Telanagana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao means to put to implementation when he says, 'Not a drop wasted.' The CM called for putting into utilization of water at its best by linking the water tanks that were built many years ago.

Tending to a powerful survey meeting on 'Connecting of vast, medium water system ventures with minor water system tanks' at the Pragati Bhavan, the CM reminded the gathering that as far in 1974, the Bachawat Tribunal granted Telangana 265 TMCft (thousand million cubic feet) of water for capacity in these tanks.

KCR educated authorities to get ready mandal-wise designs in such a manner that tanks are linked. At the gathering, authorities made a Powerpoint introduction on mapping of the tanks with information from a study done at the instance of the state government by the National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA) and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

The chief minister further said that he will right away bring together water system designers to talk about the required plans and ventures for their execution of linking of water tanks in the state.
