Diploma Equal to Intermediate: Court To TSPSC

Diploma students too can now apply for the post of forest beat officer. The High court has directed the concerned authorities to consider diploma equal to intermediate.
Justice P Navee Rao passed the order following a  petition filed by K Ganesh from Mahbubnagar.

In the petition Ganesh, a diploma student said that his application was rejected last year as diploma was not equivalent to Intermediate.

As per the court orders, candidates who have completed diploma in civil engineering are permitted to apply for the post of forest beat officer.

The Telangana State Public Service Commission has also agreed to the court orders saying that it does not have any objection in considering diploma courses equivalent to intermediate according to GO No. 112 issued in 2001.

Ganesh was permitted for the written examination based on the interim order passed by the court earlier. The court also asked the officials to keep the post vacant till further notice of the court. It further said that the selection process of the petitioner will be based on his performance in the test.
