Former chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh Nadendla Bhaskar Rao joined BJP in presence of BJP national president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah

Hyderabad: Former chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh Nadendla Bhaskar Rao joined BJP in presence of BJP national president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday.

Rao's son Nadendla Manohar is currently with Jana Sena and was former speaker of united AP Assembly. Rao, who helped strategise to launch TDP by NT Rama Rao, is infamous for ascending chief minister's throne when NTR as CM went to the United States of America for treatment. He is the shortest serving CM for AP, who occupied and ousted by NTR after 31 days. After a political hiatus, he was elected to the 12th Lok Sabha in 1998 from Khammam constituency on Congress' tick.
