New Delhi: Amidst the intense speculation over Munugodu MLA and Telangana Congress leader Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy crossing over to BJP, he sprang a surprise by appearing in the national capital out of the blue and launched a severe criticism against his party.

When asked about the intent behind his visit to New Delhi, he said his visit had no political intent, but he had come only to attend the swearing-in of his brother Komatireddy Venkatreddy who won Nalgonda Lok Sabha segment.

Speaking to press persons, he said the Congress party in Telangana could have come into power had it took up people’s issues strongly and exposed the failings of the ruling TRS. He also said explicit that the Congress party could have been in much better position if he was made the PCC president.

Meanwhile, the disciplinary committee of the Telangana Congress is said to have issued a show cause to Rajagopal Reddy for criticising Rahul Gandhi and lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Lately Rajagopal has been launching a scathing attack against the top leadership of Congress party in the State and has serious issues with the attitude of senior leaders in the party. Against this backdrop, he is known to be mulling joining the BJP and believed to have already discussed the idea with the BJP top leadership in the State.
