Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government has came in for sharp criticism by the opposition parties, who are demanding a judicial probe by a sitting High Court judge to investigate into alleged goof-ups by the Board Of Intermediate Education (BIE) .

The protests took a political turn when the leaders of Congress, BJP, CPI, CPM, TJS, students unions groups like NSUI, ABVP and other organisations staged protests in front of the BIE building in Nampally.

Telangana Congress leaders N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Dasoju Sravan, A Revanth Reddy have demanded that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy should be sacked for this mess, which had resulted in the deaths of more than 17 students across the state. They blamed the TRS government for these lapses saying that this was a testimony of its failure in controlling the administration.

Their other main contention was that how could the BIE entrust the evaluation responsibility to a private agency. The Congress also demanded an enquiry to probe as to how BIE assigned the contract to Globearena Technologies to conduct the exams. It was reported earlier that the BIE Secretary Ashok was asked to either terminate the contract of the firm or bring in a new company as they had committed some blunders in December ,2017 . But the Secretary dismissed the request and simply asked Globarena officials to rectify the errors.
