Hyderabad: Hitting back at the allegations made by the Telangana Congress that the ruling TRS party was encouraging defections and purchasing Congress MLAs, the party's working president KT Rama Rao said that politicians shift parties seeking better political careers, which is natural and observed that several sitting MPs from other parties were joining the Congress as well.

Questioning whether TRS sitting MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, who was welcomed into the Congress by AICC president Rahul Gandhi was purchased by Congress, KTR advised the party leaders to reflect on themselves before leveling allegations against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Addressing the media during an interaction at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday, the TRS working president said that the Congress leaders have no rights to question the morals of TRS particularly when the party has been welcoming elected representatives from other parties.

KTR expressed that the MLAs from other parties are joining the TRS after noticing the welfare and development activities taken up by the state government.

He added the people of Telangana will give an answer to these opposition parties who are questioning the ruling TRS for admitting sitting MLAs from Congress and TDP on April 11.

Leaders and activists from the Congress, TDP and other parties joined the TRS at Telangana Bhavan on Monday. KT Rama Rao also welcomed DCMS former chairman Narsimhulu Gupta, TPCC spokesperson Krishank Manne, and other leaders from Secunderabad Cantonment, Vikarabad, and Bhupalpalle Assembly constituencies, into the TRS.
