1.25 Lakh Bogus Votes In Nizamabad Constituency: BJP

Nizamabad:Telangana BJP leaders complain to Chief Electoral Officer Rajath Kumar about bogus voters being enrolled in the Nizamabad Parliamentary constituency limits.

BJP state executive committee member Arvind Dharmapuri held a meeting with the chief electoral officer, at Hyderabad. He later submitted a memorandum to the district revenue officer M. Anjaiah here on Saturday.

Arvind claimed that out a total of 1.25 lakh bogus votes have been added to the voter list and 47,000 votes of them have been enrolled in Nizamabad Urban Assembly constituency. The BJP leader added that they found the bogus voters' details along with the electoral photo identity card numbers.

Arvind pointed out that some of the minority women possess three to five EPIC cards. BJP leader alleged that the ruling TRS was fully aware of these bogus voters.

He added that he is going to approach High Court regarding this issue in addition to complaining to EC. BJP leader Arvind observed that TRS leaders were able to predict the outcome of certain Assembly constituencies because they had prior knowledge about the bogus votes.

Also present were BJP district president Palle Ganga Reddy, Baswa Laxminarsaiah Swamy and Nyalam Raju.
