Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao plans to induct six to eight members into his ministry in the initial stage of his cabinet expansion as per sources. He also plans to hold the first session of the new Assembly after the President’s annual winter vacation in Hyderabad which ends on December 24. Unlike last time the legislators oath- taking and election of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker would also be held during the Assembly session .

The focus of choosing the ministers would be based on their capabilities and loyalty towards the party and not as per the traditional method of region , caste and social grouping parameters.

On top of his agenda would be the speedy execution of irrigation projects including Kaleshwaram , and completion of the Mission Bhagiratha. Similarly, Panchayat Raj elections and an all-inclusive plan for development of villages would occupy an important place in the new TRS government's scheme of things. Fulfillment of all promises made in the election manifesto, would be high on KCR's list of priorities.

Meanwhile the TRS working president and Sircilla MLA elect KT Rama Rao will take oath today sometime before noon at Telangana Bhavan and garland the statue of late Prof. A Jayashankar. He will also offer prayers at Telangana Talli statue before taking charge as an MLA.
