Telangana caretaker chief minister K. Chandrashkhar Rao told media persons that Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu will get a 'return gift' from him for his participation in Telangana elections. Reacting sarcastically to Chandrababu's involvement in Telangana elections, KCR remarked that it is common courtesy to give return gifts. "Don't we give return gifts to those who come to birthday parties?", he asked mediapersons to peals of laughter from them and others present on the dais.

KCR said that the formation of a Federal Front of the people was on the cards and would be announced soon. The politics of this country badly needed a change, he remarked. He said that it was not him, but the people of the country who would drive this change. He and other leaders would be bringing together the people of the country in a national party with a consortium of regional parties. A new economic and agricultural model forged by all like-minded parties needs to be put in place, he observed. There was a dire need for surgery to the political system. On Congress and BJP leading the front he commented "dono mukt Bharat" was what was needed.

Referring to Chandrababu Naidu, he said that he changed colours often and had sailed with the BJP and PM Modi till recently. He recalled Chandrababu's overenthusiasm in praising PM Modi on one occasion and said that for the first time a Chief Minister became Prime Minister, to which others at the meeting including Akhilesh Yadav asked KCR how Chandrababu could say that forgetting PV Narsimha Rao, Charan Singh, VP Singh, and Morarji Desai. He laughed and shrugged it off, he recalled.

KCR described Asaduddin Owaisi as a secular political leader and an intellectual. "We will work together," he added referring to the AIMIM chief.
